Some of my students from Defying Gravity, LLC and I
In September 2013, I had started teaching hip-hop classes to elementary and middle school children at Defying Gravity, LLC, which was formerly known as the New Jersey Center for Creative Arts. While I was there I conducted 1-hour combo classes at the beginner/intermediate level.

In June 2014, I became a Brand Representative (sales associate) for Hollister Co. located in Woodbridge, NJ. My experience working there involved driving sales by meeting customers’ needs through well-maintained knowledge of store merchandise, store policies, and store promotions. I also handled POS register transactions.
WELLSPRING CENTER FOR PREVENTION – PATHWAYS SBYSP
Selected highlights from Pathways Summer Camp
The Wellspring Center for Prevention has a branch that operates within Carteret High School in my hometown, called the Pathways School-Based Youth Services Program. During the school year, they offer counseling services by licensed clinicians, a recreational space for students, affinity groups including those for young women and the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as community service groups. During the summer, they offer a 5-week day camp for high school students ranging from incoming freshman to recent graduates. From August to July of 2016, I served as a Camp Counselor for 45 high school students. Aside from my normal duties, I was in charge of documenting the activities for both the main camp and art camp locations, and trips that we went on such as bowling, Grounds for Sculpture, and the Newark Museum.
