Samuel S. Norton
BBA in Accounting, Sellinger School of Business, Loyola University Maryland
Thank you for taking the time to visit my e-portfolio. At Loyola University Maryland, I am a student athlete, known leader, and extremely active in both the university and surrounding community. I am currently a candidate for a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in May 2019. I have selected a combination of courses both in Accounting and Business where I can apply my statistical, mathematical, and analytical skills. As a Division I athlete, I have developed strongs skills in communication, time management, and team leadership. In the Baltimore community, I volunteer my time promoting self-esteem and confidence through athletics to young boys and girls at local inner-city schools. I became interested in accounting during my work experience at our family owned business, Zip-Net, Inc., a manufacturer of elastic and casing netting used by meat processors. I grew up in the fifty year old business and have absorbed the skills it takes to succeed. I saw first hand the work it takes to win at business. My attached resume demonstrates my high ability to prioritize academics, athletics, community service and work experience. I am confident the knowledge and skills I have gained through my undergraduate study and my practical application both on the court, in the community and through my work experience will allow me to make an immediate contribution to your firm.
